After many delays due to label issues, after two and a half years of waiting, Eternal Aktake has arrived. We all know who Uzi is and all the drama behind this release so let us skip all that and jump right into it.

Uzi confirmed a fan theory on twitter that the album is split into three parts with tracks 1-6 rapping under his Baby Pluto persona, 7-12 is the Renji alter ego and the last five songs are Uzi as himself. I enjoy the whole concept of this project with the little skits at the end of some tracks and when you blend him together, it is like a movie and makes sense. Uzi gets abducted and is trying to get home and uzi must have felt this during the whole label drama with Drama and Cannon and he just wants to release this album for his fans but there's a lot of obstacles in the way. I thought maybe he would've dug more into the actual cult of the same name of this album but it is ok he didn't (Captain Murphy aka FlyLo did it with justice).

Now when it comes to the actual music and the album itself, I like it. I wouldn't say I love this album but I like what I got here. At first, listen I wasn't really feeling most of the first half of the record but I would say after a while, I got used to the Baby Pluto portion of the record. Uzi was rapping his ass off and I like it cause he was saying some clever bars and had that charisma into these songs. It just wasn't "look at me guys I'm rapping fast!" type of raps we get most of that time. Also here he talks about women and boasts a lot which is typical but it is still fine here. "You Better Move" was the best standout in this section, cause it uses and samples the pinball machine game you play on your computer back in the day and I have to smile at that. I love it when producers get creative with samples when making beats. A couple of lines from this made me giggle like him saying I am wearing Versace and you got the fruit of the loom. "Pop" was another great highlight, that fucking hook is been stuck and been repeating it a lot as of late. So yea what a great section.

Now with the "Renji" section is where the part of the album that I struggled with to enjoy. I usually 2016 melodic Uzi but couple of these tracks didn't click with me. I wouldn't say they are terrible tracks, just it is a skip for me so. "Chrome Heart Tags" did stand out the most here with production from Chief Keef. Uzi is rapping about spending money to cope with losing a girl, which I do agree shopping or online shopping does work. I am upset we didn't get "Kobe Rollie" but at the time of me writing this review the deluxe version isn't out yet but we should get it. "Celebration Station" has this upbeat production and can't help to do the uzi shoulder roll. It uses an Ariana Grande track as the sample and it fits, I wouldn't be surprised this track gets a nightcore remix. "Prices" samples "Way Back" from Travis's Birds album and yeah sorry Travis, Uzi did a better job with that beat here. Shout out the Hannibal Lector line by the way, simple but clever.

We hit the home stretch and we are at the Uzi section, it does end the album perfectly. "Urgency" has the only lone feature with Syd from The Internet doing a duet with uzi on the chorus and providing a verse from the women's point of view. It's a good and simple love song, with uzi saying he will treat his girl equally no matter how she looks, Their chemistry is great so makes the whole song perfect, I hope they do more songs in the future. "Secure the Bag" is basically well you know, getting the bag. The hook is a cool throwback to "Ronda (Winners), I appreciate the Liu Kang cause I am a nerd but I wished rappers would another fighter character that is known for kicks. "P2" is a sequel to one of his biggest tracks "XO Tour Liff3". Even though I do slightly agree with people who didn't like this track, cause he didn't do much here beside flips some words around, has the same flow as before, and didn't explore a different topic and it is not structured, I still fuck it with it. Also, this album does have "Futsal Shuffle 2020" and the best song on this album "That Way" here, which I am grateful for. "That Way" man. I always get a smile when I hear this, What a creative way to update a boy band classic.

Final thoughts on "Eternal Atake" that I am glad Uzi got to release after the bullshit he had to deal with. Awhile I am not in love with the album, I did like what I got here and it was worth the wait. Maybe my opinion on throughout the year and when the deluxe version comes out with the tracks I wanted to hear from those leaks in high quality. This is easily my favorite Uzi project to date and can't wait what he does next. Also Thanks Hov for helping another artist out.
