3 Way By Migos

Who are the Migos? Migos are hip hop trio that consists of Quavo, Offset and Takeoff, Quavo is Takeoff's uncle and Offset is Quavo's Cousin. The group s biggest well known hits are "Versace", "Fight Night", "One Time" and "Look At My Dab". The group as been around since 2009 but didn't make their break through till 2013 with one of the hits I mention "Versace". The Trio a slew of Mixtapes, dropped their major label debut album last year which I was disappointed with cause it didn't live up to their other previous projects. The Migo's flow is quite makes the group stick out with the a "triplet flow" and that is very fast paced, basically to break it down its one syllable per note with a few changes up every now and then, and many rappers copied their flow like the six god himself Mr. Drake himself, but many critic's have said the flow has been around since the early 90's from the late member of Three Six Mafia Lord Infamous who was the origina lrapper oto use the triplet flow not the Migo's according to former member Gangsta Boo. Despite that, Migo's have their own wave for quite some time while their projects have gone downhill since their debut album I was really curious hearing about this project since I heard a lot goof reviews on this, with that brief history lesson lets dive right into this.

Now this being an EP its only 5 tracks there isn't much to break down here so this review will be short and simple to the point to breakdown and much easier to digest this since its only 5 tracks. I must the Migo's have returned to their own forms and dropped a very dope EP here. This EP is produced by Zaytoven, Dun Deal, Ricky Racks, and Cassius Jay and only feature from Blac Youngsta. Special shout out to there producer Zaytoven who the Migos have worked in the past, he did his thing production wise. Favorite track has to be "Cop and Robbers" Quavo did the hook justice and Offset had the best verse and he just snapped on here, this track its very simple to the point where we yeah we use to play cops and robbers as kids now lets please this but as adults and really rob and deal with cops. "Can't Go Out Sad" is another favorite track of mine, the beat is a little up beat and its very catchy which makes the track good and does help the hook is catchy as well which most trap bangers should have catchy hook to be good. Quavo had a better cool line when he said "Piccolo green its millions, and the old money got mildew" reference Piccolo from Dragonball Z so the inner nerd in me like that line very much. "Savages Only" is a pretty decent and my least favorite is probably the last track "Slide on Em" its not a terrible track it was just whatever and Blac Youngsta ad libs were a bit annoying. The Intro track I like as well once again shout Zaytoven reminded of their old work, Migos did there thing here.

Final thoughts are pretty short since this project is short and simple to the point is that Migo's dropped a really good EP, happy they choose quality over quantity here and returns to their roots here. If you been a huge die hard supporter of the Migo's I recommended this and even you fell out of the Migo's wave for quite some time give this EP project. I'm a bit more curious what they gonna drop next.  that's all for today, Robert Garcia out. *dabs*
