Everybody Looking by Gucci Mane

Who is Gucci Mane? Radric Davis aka Gucci Mane is a Atlanta rapper and he's back! After being locked up since September 2013 and releasing multiple mixtape's while locked up and making 1.3 million dollars behind bars, he's back and this is I guess in a way this is his comeback project. Gucci has been around since 2004 and made his breakthrough into the rap game with "So Icy" and later on in years through the mainstream with 2009 "The State vs Radric Davis" with smash singles like "Wasted" and "Lemonade".  Now Gucci has been consider a cultural figure in the rap game and especially with Atlanta with many artists in a way being inspired by and even were discovered by the man himself with acts like Waka Flocka, Young Thug, Migos, OJ Da Juiceman, Chief Keef, and even way before she signed with YMCMB, Nicki Minaj. Now after the news he got out, looked a lot different and was sober I was curious and excited for this album being a huge fan and supporter of his since like 2007  with one of my favorite Gucci sons of all time, "My Kitchen" yeah I remember those with the Bart Simpson chain and that one interview where he gave his blunt to the chain, yeah good times, good times indeed. Back to this review Lets talk about some the singles that dropped first before the release of this and then we will dive right into this.

"First Day Out Tha Feds" was the first single and comeback track and was recorded literally the first day when he got out, mad respect for someone who's that dedicated to his work and craft.  This single is my favorite track here and many of the other singles that were released, "First Day Out Tha Feds" is basically "Hey I'm Back" and Gucci raps his past in the streets and suffers from paranoia when the song kicks off and even mentions that his own mother doesn't love him anymore and also a huge shout out to his haters and when every the shits hits fan he will be there to strike, so don't test him he might be still crazy. "All My Children" is basically Gucci realize that he's a huge influence on the rap culture and being one of the pioneers in the trap rap game, he should be looked at as father figure. When I first this track I thought it was diss and basically like "I'm Back and I'm here to take back my throne" cause if you saw the single cover there are familiar faces on the cover. He did give a lil shout out to Waka Flocka and basically saying hey we may never work together ever again I still have your back and your support, the two were beefing for a bit and now they are now speaking terms and they cool.  Overall a solid track and the hook is fucking catchy as hell.

Now diving into the others track I noticed that Gucci is very self aware and very coherent cause he's off the drugs and he's more very intelligent as well. The only 3 features he has on are Young Thug, Drake and Kanye West and the album is mostly produced by Mike Will Made It and Zaytoven, I feel those two did their thing on the boards with the glitzy trap production. Back to Young Thug which he was featured on the track "Guwop Home" which is basically by the track is a celebration that he's finally home and lets celebrate. Young Thug probably has the best guest verse on here, I think mostly the two rappers have really good chemistry and would like to hear more tracks from these two gentleman's so this another favorite highlight. "Pop Music" was another favorite highlight with the dark banger type beat and basically he's rapping about he's hearing rumors that he might get dropped from the label and love the hook on here where says my chopper sing all my hooks like rock star and my glocks sings all my hook like we call it pop music, I think its pretty clever metaphor. "Back On Road" is another favorite of mine, I still wished Drake had a guest verse on here cause he just raps the hook on here, its catchy and the whole theme which is basically this whole project is Guwop back on the road to success and reflecting on his past. "Pussy Print" a track that I was gonna hate just cause of the name of the track and Kanye was featured I was excepting some "cringe" but I actually like this track, Kanye verse was pretty decent but glad he didn't go way too overboard and making himself look like a jackass and Gucci did his thing on here. "Gucci Please" was decent at best but the hook is pretty annoying but the theme of the song is cool in away, "Out Do Ya" was another decent track as well where the theme I mentioned a million times here so I'm not gonna explain again.

Final Verdict here is that this is very decent project and in a way a solid Gucci comeback, if you compare this to his old projects to thus, it's better quite better than those just cause he was coherent and didn't mumble his words like other project's. I know he's not lyricist and he can be very basic as a rapper and mostly the whole theme and bars he raps about are pretty much the same theme If you listen to this multiple times after the first listen, I don't think this album is terrible and this project some good highlights on here mostly the singles being the good solid tracks that I enjoyed and was hopeful the album would be somewhat decent on here it did meet my exceptions. So if you're a did hard fan of his you might fuck with this album while I know there's a few people out there think he has changed a lot and this album might win some people over as well who aren't fans of his from what I seen lately. so yeah glad Gucci's home and hope he stays focused and stays sober and continues working hard and make millions and maybe even discover more talent like the old days. That's all for today, Robert Garcia Out.
